The Gallery was founded by Eli Klein and operated a street-level space at 462 West Broadway in SoHo between 2007 and 2013. In 2013, the Gallery relocated to a street-level space at 525 West 22nd Street in Chelsea to accommodate increasingly ambitious large-scale projects and the visions of its artists. In 2018, the Gallery upgraded to 398 West Street (between Charles and W 10th) in the trendiest part of the West Village, just blocks from the new Whitney Museum and the commencement point for the High Line.
