Tzipi S. Brooklyn, NY This was a great small venue with a nice lineup of talented acts. It did get super hot in here during summer and fall shows so be prepared. One drink minimum when I went was a totally reasonable cover charge. :) Tyler L New York, NY Rockwood is a very nice place to watch live music. The place consists of two stages that are in two spaces right next door to each other. Stage 1 is a little smaller than Stage 2 but both are small. Both spaces cannot fit more than 30 people or so, so you end up getting a very intimate performance. This place features independent artists. Most shows are free or if not, with a minimal cover charge. Both stages also have a bar as well, with a limited drink menu. Josephine L Manhattan, NY Came here for an acquaintance's music showcase, and it brought me back to my poor, starving college student days of watching indie bands whose music I'd never heard of (and didn't particularly like) because that was the only live music I could afford and also I really wanted to impress the guy who lived below me. Rockwood has all those good vibes, but now I watch these acts because I WANT to--and I don't need to impress Liam the emo rocker.
