We specialize in social ballroom and competitive dances, including Cha Cha, Bolero, Swing, Mambo, Paso Doble, Waltz, Tango, Fox Trot, Quick Step, Viennese Waltz, Merengue, Salsa, Rumba, and Samba. Students learn through a combination of private lessons , group classes, and practice parties with a focus on one-on-one dance instruction. We offer customized Wedding Dance Instruction Program that will give you the confidence and skill to show off your elegance, style - and maybe a little personality! - on the dance floor, on your special day. Our company began when Mr. Fred Astaire co-founded a chain of dance studios under his name, to make sure that his dance techniques could be preserved and passed onto the public... and on March 7th, 1947, the first Fred Astaire Dance Studio opened, at 487 Park Avenue in New York City. Since then, our network of worldwide dance studios has produced a wealth of amateur and professional dancers, who are the living embodiment of Fred Astaire's style and grace. Meet the Business Owner Artur S. Born and raised in Ukraine, Artur started dancing when he was 7 and competing when he was 9. His love for dance equals his love to teach, and together with his wife Svitlana and Fred Astaire Undefeated Cabaret World Champions Mykhailo and Tetyana, he is happy to finally bring Fred Astaire Dance Studio to Downtown New York!
